Research Repository is an open digital platform where researches can discover information about the research, training, grants and actions and access to research out-put of a particular institute.

Education, Training and Research unit of the Ministry of health is the focal point for education, training of healthcare personals and Health care research of the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka. Directorate of Research of the ET& R unit promoting the research culture by granting research allowance to the senior grade executive officers including Medical Officers under the management service circular 02/2014, conducting online training programmes on research methodology and research ethics. The knowledge sharing events such as research symposiums are also organized once in two years. That allows to gain newest research findings and innovations of local and international level.

Identifying the need of information availability for next generation to practice evidence- based Medicine ET& R unit established a National Health Research Repository in collaboration with World Health Organization. It allows to collect, manage and showcase all the ministry output and data with in short time. It is not limited for publications and it provides access to all relevant documents, latest research findings and innovations through the library network. Users will be able to navigate easily from one related asset to another.

The National Health Research Repository will showcase the ministry’s research and measure its impact by systematically capturing, managing, and disseminating research output and data using a single, unified method.
